Rhinebeck Weekend

This weekend was spent in Rhinebeck NY attending the annual NY Sheep & Wool Festival. Normally, the weather is cool and brisk with Fall in full force. However, this year it was in the high 70's and sunny, a bit too warm for me and my fellow knitters. Especially because I love to see everyone's hand knit pieces that they wear to Rhinebeck. Although the trip was quick we had a fabulous time enjoying the Hudson Valley scenery and vibe. The smell of the fried donuts, and especially the scent of garlic lingering from the French Artichoke truck brought me back to that Rhinebeck feeling I just love! To top off our day we had a Stephen West sighting, he was walking on the side of the road while we were stuck in traffic! I still think I should have hopped out to get a photograph with him.....Maybe next year!

I did manage to wear my cowl a bit after the sun went down but it was WAY too hot to pull it off during the day!

On the way home we stopped in a fabulous little town in New York called Kingston. We ate at a wonderful cafe called Dominick's Cafe where the food was exquisite and the service impeccable. If you are ever in town DEFINITELY STOP IN! Make sure to finish your meal with the homemade biscotti. YUM!

Here are the photos of our trip! Enjoy!
